It’s always hard to explain what my work is about, in a few sentences. Here many words are cut and pulled out of context, but in the end I guess the overall story is what it is.

Yes, I would like people to experience joy when they look at my work, the world is grim enough as is. However, my work is not always joyful in its subject. When you dig a little deeper, under the surface of vibrant colours, playful gestures and soft textiles, you may find confusing truths, unhappy endings and serious questions.

Much of it enfolds in the surroundings of leisure, play and what we call ‘free time’.
