Queen of the White Elephant

Lately, her work has incorporated marine iconography such as shells, corals, watery and

metaphorical creatures. “Queen of the White Elephants” is a manually crafted three meters long

beach umbrella made of burlap, wool and paint.

This three meters long, manually tufted and painted beach umbrella ironically explores the ageless

image of water flooding the earth to catastrophic consequences, probing legendary references

through a modern-day fear of apocalypse transmitted live on social media: BeReals in front of a

burning forest or selfies over a destroyed houses after a storm.
